Early intervention
Early intervention defines the supports and/or services typically provided to children ranging from birth to 5. Early intervention is important because the earlier services are provided; the more likely it is to prevent potential deficits from developing.
School Age
School Age speech therapy defines the supports and/or services typically provided to children or adolescents from K-12 that enable clients to adequately access the academic curriculum after establishing a deficit.
Adult/Geriatric
Defines the supports and/or services that are more medically inclined but not limited to treatment of speech impairments caused by stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, etc.
